Summer Internship: 

1 position in Bangkok at a medium-sized Thai-based international development and capacity building organization whose mission is to inspire students, develop skilled people, and grow strong leaders across the fields of education, public health, and economic and business development. The Fellow will work closely with the marketing, awareness, and program teams to communicate the work of the organization through narrative-based storytelling. The position may require several trips a month to the field to interview individuals who benefit from programmatic work, which may include students, teachers, small business owners, community members, and civic leaders. Valuable skills include creative writing for a general audience, editing, interviewing through an interpreter, photography, videography, and graphic design. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of narrative and be able to convert fact-based reports and non-profit jargon into moving stories for a general audience. Understanding of content marketing strategy a plus. Useful traits include openness, initiative, teamwork, enthusiasm, and humility. The candidate should either speak Thai or have a strong interest in learning Thai, as it will make work in the field more effective. Position begins in late June or early July.

  • Multimedia, videography and/or graphic design experience

  • Strong writing skills. Able to synthesize interview and research data and write compelling articles and materials for a general audience.
