The English department is comprised of a very diverse staff and a welcoming environment. Fellows teach English classes to a wide array of students in other departments, and also have the opportunity to teach international students. Penang is one of the most livable cities in Asia - it’s a tropical island, a diverse, bustling metropolis, and the home of one of the most thriving old-style Chinatowns in Asia. It’s known as the food capital of Malaysia, as well as the site of beautiful George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Fellows should be committed to teaching, relationship-building, and to their growth as educators. Position begins in September or October.
