1 position in Kurashiki at a private Catholic girls’ junior high/high school in a regional city with easy access to Osaka. The school is located on the edge of the city, surrounded by rice fields, and yet close to urban centers. In addition to a rigorous English course load, Fellows often find opportunities to become involved with students through participation in extracurricular activities. The English department is very supportive of PiA Fellows and encourages Fellows to become an integral part of the school community. The school provides housing. Japanese language skills strongly preferred in order to communicate with local community. Successful candidates will possess a strong interest in teaching and pedagogy, as well as a strong interest in Japan and an immersive experience of Japanese culture. Position begins in late August.
