1 position in Dili at an NGO that works to improve civilian oversight of East Timor's military, police force, and government. The NGO also creates policy recommendations for security sector reform. The Fellow's main responsibilities include writing grant proposals, blog posts and articles in order to source funding and enhance community dialogue around issues of security reform. Background in post-conflict resolution or security studies is helpful. Tetun is the official language in the office, so it is essential for the Fellow to learn Tetun upon arrival. Living in Dili means living close to the beach and surrounded by beautiful nearby scenery, but also means understanding the challenges of living in a remote, developing nation. Position begins in late June.
