Summer Internship: 

4 positions in Beijing at a leading US-based environmental NGO working on legal reform, sustainable urbanization, and energy issues. The Fellows will conduct research, translate reports, write blog posts, and generally participate in all aspects of the organization's work in China, giving them a broad perspective on a range of environmental issues in China today. Beijing is known for its smog, but also exploring hidden alleys on bicycles, amazing food, and access to movers and shakers in China. Individuals interested in environmental science, urbanization, and environmental policy make strong candidates. Applicants must have strong Mandarin skills (especially reading and listening) in order to be considered for these positions. Positions begin in July or August.

Other requirements: 

  • Academic, research, or professional experience in environmental science, urbanization, and/or environmental policy.
