Brian Cochran

February 22, 2007

Brian Cochran is the first PiAer in the pioneer post of Takuapa, Phang Nga Province, the area hardest hit by the tsunami in Thailand. Currently, Brian is in the process of reconstructing the school’s English teaching program and he has made it clear that, for all of the hard work and stress, he would not give it up for the world.  Brian is having a one of a kind experience learning about the people, the culture, and the community around him that always give more than they receive.  In this town that has suffered more than most people can imagine, Brian is finding some rewarding moments outside of the classroom—swimming in sweat on the playground, cutting the hair of a newly ordained monk, and teaching the truth about rockin’ and rollin’.  While learning about Thai language and the richness of humanity in Pang Nga, Brian is continuing to work in the true spirit of PiA.
