About Our Summer Internships

In addition to post-grad yearlong fellowships, PiA offers summer internship opportunities to Princeton University undergraduates in the fields of education, journalism, and international development (NGOs). For the summer of 2016, PiA will offer summer internship placements in Cambodia, China, Indonesia, and Japan. We encourage you to stop by the office and familiarize yourself with the specific posts early in the application process.

NGO - Reproductive and Public Health Internship in Phnom Penh

1 summer position working at a leading international public health NGO in Phnom Penh.


NGO - Cultural Development Internship in Changsha

2 positions working in the architecture studio of one of China’s top specialists in traditional Chinese architecture in Changsha, China.

NGO - Environmental Internship in Beijing

1 summer position at the China (Beijing) office of a leading American environmental NGO.

Teaching Internship in Jishou

12 positions teaching English in an immersion program for college students in a remote part of Hunan Province.


Media Internship in Jakarta

1 summer position working as a copy-editor with one of Indonesia's major English-language newspapers in Jakarta.


Teaching Internship in Tokyo

1 teaching position sponsored by the Princeton Club of Japan working as an English teacher at corporations around Tokyo.


NGO - Community Development Internship in Vientiane

2 summer positions at the national rugby federation in Laos.
