Summer Internship: 

1 position with a leading Australian child rights NGO based in the organization’s field office in Nonghet district, Xieng Khouang Province, focusing on building English language and computer literacy of staff and key community partners and beneficiaries. The Fellow will teach English to Nonghet-based staff, provide coaching to staff on writing reports in English, support English language editing for communications materials, and teach English and community literacy classes for youth leaders involved in sport-for-development programming and Global Community, the first program in Australia to offer sponsors the opportunity to directly communicate with, learn about, and support a community in a developing country. Nonghet is a rural district in northeastern Laos, located near the border with Vietnam, and is home to a diverse set of communities, cultures and languages, from Lao and H’mong, to Khmu, Kang and beyond. The successful post holder will be committed to learning Lao and/or H’mong and be committed to and prepared for a deeply immersive experience in a rural, isolated location.
