To all our newly-minted PiA teachers: we look forward to welcoming you to TEFL training!
Here are 4 reasons why PiA TEFL is awesome:
- This course is a great place to start learning the basics about lesson planning and what it takes to teach in Asia. You'll get dozens of resources, handouts, and tips.
- You will receive a TEFL course certificate — assuming you complete your assignments and attend all class sessions — which is a big step towards getting you on the ground in Asia.
- It is a time to meet your fellow teachers, colleagues, and new best friends/roommates. (It's also a good time to start scouting out couch-crashing opportunities for next year!)
- The course is taught by Trina Duke, Emilie Pooler, Jessica Reeder, and Marianne Ackerman, four experts in the field who have worked with PiAers for years. They are teacher training studs who know this material backwards and forwards -- and love to teach it!
