Quote of the Week

"The world is a complicated beast. But it’s beautiful, too. It’s not something to “figure out” or “hack” – it’s something to explore, and to enjoy, and to challenge in every day actions." --Anna Seeman (PiA 2015), World Education Laos

119 Years of Service in Asia

On the occasion of PiA's 115th anniversary (in 2013), we commissioned a documentary film to illuminate what is at the core of the PiA experience: service, community, and a change in perspective.

Our Mission

PiA’s mission is to foster mutual appreciation and cultural understanding by connecting service-minded graduates and partner organizations in Asia through immersive work experiences that transform perspectives and cultivate long-lasting friendships.

Help PiA raise $225k for the 2017 Summer Classic Crowdfunding Campaign!

Calling all PiA All-Stars! For the month of June, PiA is holding its annual crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the best players in the league: Team PiA! As we get ready to launch our Class of 2017 into the field for PiA’s 119th year of promoting goodwill and understanding, we need the help of all of our PiA All-Stars to score big in our Summer Classic, PiA’s Annual Crowdfunding Campaign. Every dollar counts as we work towards our goal of $225k and 704 donors. To make it even more special, a special group of campaign Anchors have issued a “2:1 Matching Challenge!”  In a tremendous show of generosity, a “Yalie for PiA” has pledged $100,000 in matching funds to the campaign, and a fabulous group of Heroes and Superheroes have committed an additional $50,000 to the match. Thanks to their support, all gifts up to $75,000 will be matched on a 2:1 basis.

Donate now to help PiA hit another home run!
